BERRAGOON PERCUSSION is a homebred Berragoon horse via embryo transfer, she is out of BERRAGOON TUNE and by Thoroughbred stallion Furnir, by Turf Ruler.

Percussion’s dam Berragoon Tune played in the 2003 World Cup for Canada and again in 2007 for Ireland, teaming up with ex Aussie Avis Wotton. She has been hugely successful for us in the breeding barn, and also represented NSW on four occasions at National level. Berragoon Tune will be represented by at least three progeny in this World Cup; Berragoon Percussion, Berragoon Poem and Jingle (Abbott Grills).

Percussion who is a 13 year old brown baldy mare has achieved a lot in her polocrosse career so far, mainly being partnered with Abbott Grills playing for the Albury-Holbrook Club. She has won many Club and Zone awards.

She won Best ASH at the Intermediate Test against Ireland in 2013, played by Lucy Grills.

In 2014, 2016 and 2018 with Abbott, she won: Best No1, (No 2 in 2018), Champion Men’s ASH, Champion Men’s Horse, Champion Overall ASH and the Max Walters Trophy for the Overall Champion Horse of the Nationals, at three successive Nationals.

Percussion is super-fast, very strong, hugely quirky, can run strong curves and arks, but her ability to get better and stronger throughout a tournament is probably her greatest asset.

She has three ASH sire sons registered so far, and numerous fillies that are just starting to play. We are expecting 4 foals from her in the 2019 season.
